Als je op zoek bent naar iets bijzonders en je wil het beste van het beste, dan is de D-42 van Martin jouw keuze. De D-42 is een vrij recente toevoeging aan de reeks Martin modellen. De constructie van het zangbalkenpatroon in deze gitaar, de bracing, is gebaseerd op de vooroorlogse principes van de bouwers uit Nazareth. De inleg, vooral de sneeuwvlokjes in de toets, doet denken aan ‘Style 45’, de meest luxe vorm van versiering op Martin gitaren. Rond de klankkast is een prachtige abalone inleg aangebracht. In ieder opzicht is deze gitaar een topklasse Martin.

 Martin CEO6 Sunburst Specia… The new Martin CEO-6 Special Edition is based on the early "Sloped Shoulder" Dreadnought design originated by Martin in the 1930s, the 14-fret CEO-6 features a solid wood Red Spruce "Adirondack" top joined to a body of premium, bookmatched solid East Indian rosewood. The CEO-6 is a player's guitar with a Performing Artist neck profile designed for faster and easier playing in all positions. It also has wider, more comfortable string spacing on the 1930 style belly bridge. Bone nut and bridge pins, and a Tusq compensated long saddle add resonance and sustain. This is a guitar available in a “tear drop” sunburst finish. The top is bound in vintage grained ivoroid and has a faux tortoise beveled and polished pickguard. Fingerboard and bridge are select black ebony. Gold Grover tuners with large buttons complete the perfect aesthetic mix.

Larry Breedlove's rosette design incorporates a serpentine swath of koa set against creamy boxwood. The koa/boxwood pairing carries over to the Engraved Twist fretboard inlay, in which the design's swirling complexity is tempered with the subtle, organic quality of thin wood lines. A shaded edgeburst around the entire guitar — including the neck — adds a touch of vintage Hawaiian charm that's complemented by rosewood binding, thin white purfling, and Gotoh tuners. Tonally, a koa top should make koa's natural midrange sweetness even more pronounced, especially after the guitar has been played in.
