Door de nieuwe technologie in deze gitaar heb je wel een echte Les Paul maar ook zoveel meer! De twee pickupsystemen op de nieuwe Ultra-III zijn het belangrijkste onderdeel. Het eerste bestaat uit Epiphone's nieuwe ProBucker humbucker-pickups, ontworpen naar de beroemde BurstBuckers van Gibson. Met de (meegeleverde) USB-kabel kun je direct inpluggen in je computer, zodat je gitaarprogramma's kunt gebruiken zoals Native Instruments GuitarRig 4LE (software meegeleverd).
