Ontworpen om Joe's speed-demon stijl optimaal tot zijn recht te laten komen, maar ook een enkele goed geplaatste noot te laten schitteren. De Ibanez JS100 Joe Satriani gitaar heeft een gestroomlijnde basswood body. Deze is erg licht en gemaakt voor optimaal comfort met een contour. De lagere cutaway geeft je maximale vrijheid om ook de hogere frets te bespelen. Een dubbele locking tremolo blijft op stemming, ongeacht hoe heftig je aan de snaren trekt. Axis 1 en 2 humbuckers geven een stevig geluid met veel helderheid en respons.
