Het is niet eenvoudig een legende te verbeteren, toch is het Gibson weer gelukt! De Gibson Les Paul 2008 Standard heeft een hand-carved maple top met matchende mahonie achterkant met uithollingen. De hals heeft een '50 profiel en bestaat uit één stuk mahonie. Door de asymmetrische vorm is de hals uiterst comfortabel. De BurstBucker Pro humbuckers hebben Alnico V magneten met windings voor een verbeterd geluid met wat extra definitie in de hogere frequenties. Inclusief originele Gibson koffer.

 Gibson LP295 Les Paul Goldt… De LP-295 Goldtop combineert de legendarische Les Paul karakteristieken met avant-garde eigenschappen die hem één stap voorsprong geven op de rest. De roomkleurige, handgeschilderde slagplaat met gouden bloemen is vormgegeven naar de ES-295, net als de dubbele parallelogram-inleg en het chrome Bigsby staartstuk.
