JBL JRX215
This trapezoidal, 15" speaker system is at home in live sound, dance music and speech reinforcement. JBL 15 in low frequency driver with a 64 mm (2.5 in) diameter edgewound ribbon voice coil which provides more cross-sectional wire area in the voice coil gap than round wire designs, for greater efficiency and power handling. JBL 2414H-C 25 mm (1 in ) polymer diaphragm compression driver improves high frequency performance as well as system reliability. The advanced network topology crossover design shapes the frequency response to deliver coherent summation in the crossover region. High-voltage capacitors and inductors with massive cores and heavy gauge wire enable the crossover network to handle high power without saturating. Progressive Transition™ high frequency waveguide provides superior coverage control, reduced distortion, and smoother frequency response. The rugged, acoustically superior enclosure is constructed from 19 mm (.75 in ) MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) using advanced adhesives and mechanical fastener technology for extreme durability and improved low-frequency performance. SonicGuard™ protects the high frequency driver from excess power without interrupting the performance. Non-resonant, all-steel handles are used. Attractive 18-gauge perforated, steel grille protects components from damage. Dual-angle pole-mount socket allows the speakers to tilt 10° for more uniform audience coverage.
JBL JRX212
The JRX212 is a portable, twelve-inch, two-way speaker system designed specifically for live performance stage monitoring applications.JBL 12 in low frequency driver with a 64 mm (2.5 in) diameter edgewound ribbon voice coil which provides more cross-sectional wire area in the voice coil gap than round wire designs, for greater efficiency and power handling. JBL 2414H-C 25 mm (1 in) polymer diaphragm compression driver improves high frequency performance as well as system reliability. The advanced network topology crossover design shapes frequency response and delivers "coherent summation" in the crossover region. High-voltage capacitors and inductors with massive cores and heavy gauge wire enable the crossover network to handle high power without saturating. Progressive Transition™ high frequency waveguide provides superior coverage control, reduced distortion, and smoother frequency response. The rugged, acoustically superior enclosure is constructed from 19 mm (.75 in) MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) using advanced adhesives and mechanical fastener technology for extreme durability and improved low-frequency performance. SonicGuard™ protects the high frequency driver from excess power without interrupting the performance. Non-resonant, all-steel handles are used. Attractive 18-gauge hexagon perforated, steel grille protects components from damage. Dual-angle pole-mount socket allows the speaker to tilt 10°for more uniform audience coverage.
TW Audio M10
An appropriate headline to describe M10, our new multi-functional loudspeaker. We wouldn’t be TW AUDiO if we’d just gone and built a run-of-the-mill ten-inch box, after all. Instead we spent considerable time developing, testing and optimizing a product that combines the advantages of M8 with the power of M12. What we’ve ended up with is a unique product that is more powerful, more compact and even more versatile. M10 shares family strong points such as an M12-derived trapezoidal, asymmetrical cabinet design equipped with our usual grab handles and air-cargo tracks.
Left and right cabinet versions mean paired couples of M10 can be used for high-quality monitoring applications, e.g. as floor monitors laid out in opposing symmetry with HF horns at both ends. Tight spaces don’t bother M10, which inherits M8’s compact design and quartet of perfectly placed cable terminals. As always, an extensive list of add-on equipment boosts adjustability and flexibility. It features the SBM10 swivel bracket, for example. Taking inspiration from SBM12, it gets the same tool-free, easy mounting mechanism. No fiddling with easy-to-lose small parts; just click it into place and go.
M10’s 75 x 50 degree mid-high horn, which provides precise and tightly controlled radiation, also finds its blueprint in M12’s BEM-optimized model. The horn is rotatable by 90 degrees, should the need arise.
There’s more. M12 was the benchmark for M10 in terms of SPL and distortion. M10 therefore features a powerful 1.4 inch HF driver, which enables the separation frequency to be set extraordinarily low for great directness. Certainly a stand-out feature in this class of speaker.
But what good would outstanding, powerful mid-high rendition be without the equivalent low-mid punch? This is where the newly-developed 10-inch chassis comes into play. An extended voice coil and powerful neodymium magnet for extra long, linear throw allow M10 to strike the perfect balance between those highs and lows. It will hold that balance, even when the going gets wild. Separating the two channels is an integrated passive crossover, as per usual. With standard, non-controlled amplification in mind, it is phase coherent and character-optimized. That means M10 can be combined with any other TW AUDiO loudspeaker, including but not limited to M8 or M12.
But what exactly makes M10 unique?
It is the ability to perform in both M8 and M12’s range of operation. The best of both worlds; where an eight-inch speaker falls short by size or lack of directness, M10 delivers. And where a twelve-inch box’s footprint is too large but high output levels and low distortion is essential, M10 fills the gap. A main speaker combined with a passively or actively separated subwoofer, a full-range speaker, a compact monitor with power to spare. Barely visible, but amazingly audible, M10 comes into its own whenever a small shape and big, unmissable sound are of the essence.
TW Audio Vera 36
It would be far too easy just to describe the VERA36 as the big sister of our successful VERA10 system. But just like real sisters, the two do have something in common. Born of of loudspeaker systems and creating new dimensions for professional sound equipment technology, they have both been through many years of development, construction and test phases.
And sometimes those differences can be huge. VERA36 takes on the jobs that her little sister VERA10 prefers to step aside from, with large-scale events in touring business or for installations in large halls and stadiums. And all with familiar TW AUDiO qua- lity. With specially-designed speakers, technically state-of-the-art, in a CNC manufactured, high-quality birch plywood enclousures, finished with a resilientpolyurethane coating, all assembled and tested at our factory in Ludwigsburg.
You could describe the VERA36 as an extraordinarily compact VERtical Array system, coupled with brilliant, crisp speech intelligibility, tone quality and dynamics, and low-mid power you’ve only seen up to now in much bigger systems. High-end sound at the FOH even standing 40 m away.
...that speak for themselves. No fewer than six loudspeakers working in a chassis that’s just 70 cm wide and 31 cm high. The central element is the mid-frequency horn, driven by two 8 inch cone loudspeakers. Coaxially between them is the mid-high soiund unit comprising two 1.4 inch compression drivers and newly-developed waveformer with 10 degree vertical coverage. In the horizontal plane there is the choice between 80 and 120 degree horn. The low-mid range is complemented by two 10 inch long- excursion LF-drivers. The remarkable thing is that below 400 Hz all four cone speakers work together, providing impressive reserves of solid basic tone and punch. This means that the VERA36 doesn’t just hold its own even against some big double-twelve-inch systems...
But it takes more than an impressive sound to make a modern speaker system a success. It needs to be simple and safe to handle and quick to build up and take down as well. VERA36 fulfills these points quite obvious, thanks to the three-point fully-integrated rigging system we have developed. Its innovative adjustment mechanism with logarithmically devided splay angles, guarantees optimal array curving with precise aiming even into the back rows of large locations. Whether you want to rig the array as a caterpillar from the floor up, vertically out from the case or dolly or ground stack it – every variant is possible for putting together up to 24 elements in compliance with BGV C1 health and safety regulations with especial ease.
