Martin’s new 1-Series consists of four premium quality guitars constructed of solid tonewoods and designed for real player value. Never has so much Martin craftsmanship, innovation and pure, clear tone been offered at such an affordable price. 1-Series instruments are delivered in a hardshell case, equipped with genuine Martin strings. Martin 1-Series feature solid Sapele back and sides, solid Sitka spruce top with a tasteful appointment package, rounded out with black top and back bindings and inlaid rosette and fingerboard. The 1-Series is available in your choice of a purely acoustic Dreadnought size D-1 and an Orchestra size OM-1. The DC-1E and OMC-1E acoustic-electric cutaway models feature true acoustic sound — plugged or unplugged.

 Martin BC16GTE The BC-16GTE’s exemplary construction was immediately striking unlike cheaper ABGs that can feel boxy and stiff, the Martin felt supple and responsive. The spruce top’s gloss finish protected it against bruises, and a satin finish guarded the tight-grained mahogany sides, back, and neck. The tuners were smoother than a Kenny G record. The Martin’s ear-tickling harmonic complexity extended across its range, and the fingerboard was free of dead spots. The Martin’s deep body felt large but not unwieldy, and the bass played comfortably whether I stood or sat. Like most ABGs, the saddle placement made the neck’s lower reaches feel like a stretch—that low F seemed awfully far away at first, but it didn’t take too long to get my bearings. The larger body gave the BC-16GTE a much bigger bottom than I remembered from the 00C-16GTAE.

 Martin D35MP The Martin D-35MP is a new Madagascar Rosewood rendition of the popular Martin D-35 guitar. Madagascar Rosewood is comparable to the highly esteemed yet very expensive Brazilian Rosewood and 'produces bright, distinct highs, strong midrange and deep, rich lows.' The top of this guitar is Sitka Spruce and the body is bound in vintage-style grained Ivoroid replacing the standard Boltaron. This model also featurse Martin's Performing Artist Profile neck, which has a nice taper to allow for comfortable playing on both ends of the fingerboard. Case included.

 Martin D16GT This well-established and innovative solid wood 16-Series was originally conceived and developed as an experiment to deliver better sound at a lower cost by using a special combination of Martin's proprietary bracing systems. The 16-Series with its "Hybrid" X-bracing has now become a longtime Martin favorite. Other features for the 16-Series include solid wood top, back and sides and a patented neck mortise. The D-16GT's top is crafted of Sitka spruce. Its high stiffness combined with the lightweight characteristics of most softwoods, makes it a natural for a high velocity of sound. A strong fundamental-to-overtone ratio gives Sitka spruce a powerful direct tone capable of retaining its clarity when played forcefully. This makes Sitka an excellent choice for top wood for players whose style demands a wide dynamic response and a robust, meaty tone. Case included.
