MRD is a high-gain distortion pedal, which was modelled after the 80's style compressed gain sounds. It is extremely easy (and lot of fun) to play, because its texture is adjusted to give clarity and definition also at heavy distortion. Gain range allows also low distortion sounds as well as stacking with other pedals, where an overdrive (preferably MP LGW) can pre-drive MRD for extreme and highly focused sounds. To get these gain levels with their impressive signal to noise ratio, we didn't use any noise gate or expander. Instead, we used special amplifier techniques and extreme low noise amplifier stages, which result in a natural decay and a rather high current consumption for a distortion pedal in view of battery operation.

 Ibanez RGD421 Black Flat RGD is Ibanez's ultimate metal machine. The demands of down-tuning require a specifically designed responsiveness not found in "normal" guitars. To optimize for the rich, desirable thickness of tone that down-tuning produces, we extended the neck by one inch, to a 26.5" scale -longer-than-standard, yet not overly long- still sized as a "fast" neck for speed soloing. Comfortable access to the neck's highest notes are accomplished by extra-deep cutaways. Ibanez's thin, flat, and fast, yet strong and sturdy, Wizard neck offers unlimited playability for demanding players, and features a two-octave 24-fret fret board for wide tonal range. Besides lightening the weight of the body, this bold horn cut provides full, comfortable access to the higher frets.  Ibanez PM120 Pat Metheny Si… They hounded him for years, but Pat Metheny wasn't interested in an Ibanez bearing his signature. Finally they convinced him they were serious. It took years more before they finally came up with an axe he liked more than the one he was playing. What they came up with was this guitar. The upper bout cutaway lets the neck join the body at the 17th fret for finger-flying freedom beyond the traditional jazz hollowbody. Maple top, back, and thinline sides with 2 Silent 58 humbuckers provide a thick, modulated jazz tone with a lot of flexibility. Gold hardware multiple top binding, and neck/head binding combine with tripartite MOP inlays on an ebony fretboard for fabulous looks. Case included.
