Gibson Midtown Standard P90 Vintage Sunburst
By merging the best attributes of Gibson's legendary solidbody and archtop electric guitars, the Midtown Standard and Midtown Custom of 2011 became instant hits with players of all stripes. Now Gibson USA taps those same irresistible qualities and adds a vintage-vibed twist to create a stunning new performer: the Midtown Standard P-90. This great new guitar maintains its predecessors' trimmed-down and more player-friendly body size that still emulates the lines of Gibson's classic archtops, but which is built with the Midtown line's advanced chambered, solid-wood construction (rather than laminated top and back) to truly embody the optimum marriage of solidbody and archtop. To take the Midtown Standard P-90 anywhere from raw vintage rock, blues and funk to contemporary jazz, Americana, or whatever you want to throw at it, Gibson USA loads the guitar with a pair of fat- and rich-sounding P-90 single-coil pickups, and dresses it all in a hand-sprayed, high-gloss nitrocellulose finish in your choice of Fireburst, Vintage Sunburst, Heritage Cherry Sunburst, Wine Red or Pelham Blue. Hardshell case included.

Gibson SG Deluxe Red Fade When the SG body style took over from the single-cutaway Les Paul in 1961, several variations came along with it. The original SG Custom embodied Les Paul’s ideal for the “black-tie” guitar, but even its elegant appointments pale in comparison to the looks and features of the new SG Deluxe, a stunningly upscale SG from Gibson USA. Rather than let dressy Les Pauls have all the fun, the SG Deluxe adds a Grade-AA figured maple top to a versatile feature set that includes three humbucking pickups, Bigsby™ tailpiece, bound headstock, and bound 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with Deluxe split-diamond inlays, along with locking Grover™ tuners. Four finish options in stunning high-gloss nitrocellulose—Lime Burst, Cobalt Fade, Orange Burst, and Red Fade—complete the totally Deluxe package. Like the greatest SGs ever made, the SG Deluxe starts with a foundation of solid mahogany, a tonewood with a long tradition at Gibson, then tops it with a Grade-AA figured maple top for a look more often associated with Les Paul ’Bursts. The body is crafted in the distinctive, thin asymmetrical dual-cutaway style, with iconic pointed “horns” and beveled edges to enhance playing comfort. A solid, Grade-A, quarter-sawn mahogany neck is glued into the body in Gibson’s time-tested tradition, and carved to a fast, slim ’60s profile that measures .800” at the 1st fret and .875” at the 12th. It is topped with a bound fingerboard made from genuine Grade-A rosewood with 24 medium-jumbo frets and split-diamond inlays, and finished in a bound headstock with split-diamond inlay. The SG Deluxe takes its firepower from a trio of 57 Classic humbucking pickups, some of the most popular recreations of vintage PAF humbuckers available today. These great pickups use genuine Alnico II bar magnets and are wound with 42-AWG enamel-coated wire, for the characteristic blend of warmth and creaminess that made original PAFs legendary. The control setup looks traditional, but hides a clever “TogPot” around the three-way pickup selector, which let’s you blend in the middle pickup as desired, enabling myriad sonic variations. To anchor it all down, Gibson USA loads in a Bigsby™ vibrato tailpiece with a set of genuine Grover™ locking tuners. All in all, and the SG Deluxe presents a great incarnation of the iconic original SG, and a superbly versatile, great-looking guitar that truly lives up to its name. Each guitar comes protected in a plush-lined hardshell case with black exterior, owner’s manual and truss-rod wrench.

Gibson Les Paul Standard 20… The Les Paul Standard has always been the cornerstone of the Gibson USA lineup, and the new Les Paul Standard holds that same esteemed position at the center of the 2013 Year of Les Paul celebrations. This is the most versatile Les Paul Standard ever created, the ultimate embodiment of Les Paul’s vision of innovation and elegance, and truly represents a marriage of timeless tone with contemporary flexibility and playability. Key features include a superbly comfortable new asymmetrical rendition of the SlimTaper™ neck profile that fits the player’s hand like a glove, a compound-radius rosewood fingerboard, and stealth wiring for the great BurstBucker Pro™ 1 & 2 pickups that provides individual coil splitting, phase reversal, and Pure Bypass switching all without changing the look of the classic control layout. To top it off, the Les Paul Standard 2013 looks sublime with a Grade-AA figured top (or Grade-AAA figured top for the Standard Plus) beneath your choice of high-gloss Heritage Cherry Sunburst, Honey Burst, Desert Burst, Translucent Amber, or Tea Burst finish, all in nitrocellulose lacquer, and there’s also a Goldtop option for that classic ’50s look (not as Standard Plus). Left-handed versions are also available. The new Les Paul Standard 2013 follows the same formula as the most beloved Les Pauls of all time. The guitar shows off its looks with a Grade-AA figured maple top, or take it over the top with a gorgeous Grade-AAA. The marriage of solid maple top and mahogany back, treated to Gibson’s new modern weight relief pattern for improved comfort and enhanced resonance, provides a blend of richness, depth, punch, and clarity that no single-wood guitar can provide. A solid, quarter-sawn mahogany neck is carved in a new asymmetrical version of the popular ’60s profile, making it one of the most appealing necks Gibson has ever produced, and its topped with a bound rosewood fingerboard with a superbly playable compound radius that’s rounder down in the “open chord” positions and flatter up in the lead zone. Traditional trapezoid inlays keep it all looking just right, along with cream binding, pickguard, and pickup rings, amber top-hat knobs, and a traditional black-and-white bell truss rod cover. Classic Gibson constructional elements ensure the new Les Paul Standard plays just like the greatest Standards ever, with traditional specs like a 24 ¾” scale length, and a 1 11/16” width across the PLEK-cut Corian™ nut. The new Les Paul Standard’s real surprises lurk in its upgraded pickups and extremely clever wiring and control setup. A pair of BurstBucker Pro™ pickups, a #1 in the neck position and #2 in the bridge, follow the blueprint for Gibson’s hallowed PAF humbuckers of the late ’50s, but are updated with potted coils for howl-free performance at high volumes, and four-conductor wiring that allows for incredible versatility. The independent volume pot for each pickup has push-pull switching to independently split the coils for single-coil tones, with hum-cancelling performance in the middle position thanks to a reverse-wound/reverse-polarity bridge pickup. Pop up the neck pickup’s tone control for reverse-phase tones, or lift the bridge pickup’s tone knob to tap Gibson’s new Pure Bypass setting, which routes that pickup straight through to the output jack, bypassing the volume and tone controls for a hotter, clearer sound, making it a great “instant lead” preset. The innovative pairing of a locking TonePros™ Tune-o-Matic bridge and Stopbar tailpiece ensures solid sustain and precise intonation, while a set of high-quality locking Grover™ kidney-button tuners ensures smooth, accurate tuning. Each guitar comes protected in a plush-lined hardshell case with black exterior, and includes owner's manual and adjustment literature.

Gibson Les Paul Supreme Win… Since the arrival of a sunburst finish on its carved maple top in 1958, the Gibson Les Paul Standard has been considered the most elegant solidbody electric guitar on the planet. Occasional examples of these rare guitars from 1958-60 showed off gorgeously figured wood beneath their translucent 'burst finishes, setting a standard for the marriage of art and luthiery. Taking this look to its extreme, the Gibson USA Les Paul Supreme marries a carved Grade-AAAA figured top and back to the classic Les Paul design, for a guitar of unprecedented beauty. This model bears all the hallmarks of an ornate custom-made instrument, with seven-ply top binding, three-ply back binding, a bound Richlite® fingerboard with mother-of-pearl (MoP) split-block inlays, a showpiece headstock trimmed in five-ply binding with deluxe MoP globe inlay and "Supreme" banner, MoP Gibson logo, an engraved brass truss-rod cover, gold hardware, and even gold-tinted frets. With gorgeous flamed maple on both sides of a chambered mahogany body core, the Les Paul Supreme is nothing short of stunning, and your choice of translucent high-gloss Heritage Cherry Burst or Desert Burst finish shows off this exalted wood with real class. More than just an incredible looker, however, the Les Paul Supreme is also a powerful tone machine. A pair of Gibson's most popular humbucking pickups with genuine Alnico magnets yield a wide array of voices, from sultry to scorching, while traditional Gibson constructional details such as a 17-degree back-angled headstock, a PLEK-cut Corian nut, and rock-solid Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece pairing team up to provide unparalleled sustain and resonance. Each guitar includes a plush-lined black hardshell case and full owner's manual.
