Burns Apache 50th Anniversary Limited Edition
Honouring the Shadows' 50th birthday, the new limited edition Apache continues Burns' official association with Britain's best-known instrumental band. The 50th Anniversary Apache may be all-new, but Burns have already used the name for an earlier UK-origin instrument made in very small numbers. That too was based on the Marvin model, but it appeared before the company had rekindled official connections with the man himself. Apart from its Native American associations, this special six-string is actually the latest limited edition example of the Marvin. Only 500 Apaches are scheduled to appear, and in keeping with its three limited production predecessors, the newcomer employs cost-effective Chinese manufacture, although final assembly and all set-up work is handled in the UK by Burns. As before, a deluxe case is part of the deal, along with a comprehensive collection of accompanying case candy. This includes a numbered certificate of authenticity, hand-signed by both Hank Marvin and Bruce Welch, plus a leather strap, duster, full tool kit and even an Apache key ring and Burns case!

Paul Reed Smith PRS Santana… The year was 1976. Carlos Santana was in his dressing room waiting to play a gig at the Capital Center in Washington D.C. A tall, slender 20 year old Paul Reed Smith with abundant curly hair and wire-rimmed glasses made his way backstage with a guitar he’d just built for Peter Frampton. This was the start of a life-long partnership and creative partnership that has done much to shape the destiny of Paul Reed Smith Guitars. To celebrate this pivotal alliance, PRS is proud to present the 25th Anniversary Santana. Appointments include 24 1/2 “ scale length, 24 fret bound mahogany “Santana” wide fat neck, rosewood fretboard, 25th Anniversary shadow bird inlays and headstock Eagle, purfling strips on the body, Santana pickups with covers and the patented PRS tremolo.
