Just when you'd thought you'd seen the last Elvis Presley model from Martin, the company has launched the LX, a smaller, modified O-style version of Martin's D-28 Elvis Presley CVR. The top, constructed HPL (high pressure laminate) material, features a leather-like guitar cover graphic in Hi Wear suede finish, replicating Elvis' original, custom, hand-tooled leather cover crafted by Charles Underwood in 1955.

The back and sides are also constructed of durable yet resonant HPL material with a textured leather-like black patterned finish. The combination of HPL O-size body, with Martin's patented Style 1 crowned cross top brace, mahogany ribbons and sitka spruce back braces, produces tones of warmth, clarity and volume. A small Elvis figure and the King's signature is silk-screened on the headplate.
