It's amazing. One little button. It has so much effect. The Type III Noise Reduction is an entirely new concept... virtually instantaneous encode/decode within the circuitry of the box. dbx started out to build the finest EQ's possible, boxes with the heritage and performance to rival our famous 30 Series EQ's. And to no one's surprise they came out awfully darn good. (Ask to see the Audio Precision plots compared to the competition.) But then, Roger (dbx's chief engineer, a nice guy, as far as engineers go) got the crazy idea of putting this new noise reduction stuff in the box. They listened to it and were amazed. Lexicon has introduced the PCM96 professional stereo reverb/effects processor.
Featuring an array of rich, complex reverb algorithms with related delays and effects, the single rack-space PCM96 integrates into the modern studio as a control-only DAW insert or FireWire streaming hardware plug-in.
Following in the tradition of the PCM60 and PCM70 signal processors, the PCM96 offers a selection of Lexicon reverbs and effects, including the return of Lexicon's Concert Hall reverb. Appearing for the first time are new room and hall algorithms. Selectable, reversible reflection patterns, multimode filters and infinity switches provide new capabilities.
With two channels XLR analog and two channels XLR AES/EBU digital I/O — as well as MIDI, Wordclock, Ethernet and Firewire connectivity — the PCM96 is suited for studio or live use.

By combining TC Electronic's System 6000 algorithms with its PowerCore platform, the new PowerCore 6000 gives users an optimal studio tool for their DAWs.
PowerCore 6000 features eight FreeScale DSP engines, the same DSPs used in System 6000, and it has an SRAM memory design that supports high performance reverbs and delays. This enables users to run reverbs and delay-algorithms from System 6000 with popular DAWs like Logic Pro, as well as with any other VST- and audio units-compatible host.
