New Korg Wavedrum
The original Korg WAVEDRUM was introduced to the music world back in 1994. This legendary musical instrument was instantly famous for its innovative design, performance possibilities and unique sounds. Now, Korg offers the affordable, next-generation WAVEDRUM Digital Percussion Synthesizer.
WAVEDRUM can be used as a stand-alone percussion instrument, or integrated into an existing drum kit or percussion rig. Korg's new, free M3 XPanded upgrade of the company's flagship M3 workstation offers 668 MB of expansive new sounds, interactive interface functionality, advanced sequencer enhancements, additions to Korg's exclusive Karma technology and more.
M3 XPanded features updated internal PCM, plus 412 MB of free sample expansion, delivering a large number of sound variations. New piano and classic keyboard samples — including three acoustic pianos, three-way tine and reed electric pianos, and four velocity-switched clays, plus vintage tape-playback strings and flutes — have been added to the internal ROM, along with 160 new programs and 32 new combinations, bringing the total to 1,215 (EDS) on-board programs and 416 combinations available for use.

Korg expands Synth Line with microKORG…
Korg has expanded its micro line of synthesizers with the microKORG XL synth. The 37note, velocity-sensitive microKORG XL offers Korg's analog modeling with an ergonomic interface in a portable keyboard. It employs eight-voice, multi-modeling technology; easy parameter editing; USB MIDI cornnectivity; and natural-touch keyboard action.
The microKORG XL Utilizes Korg's Radias engine to offer 128 sounds. In addition, external audio inputs let players use any audio source as the waveform, which can then be processed using microKORG XL's synth engine.
It also has 17 effects derived from Korg's Kaoss series of dynamic effects processors. Users can apply two effects at a time to any program.
