"Features of the future" include dual Filtertron™ pickups, space control roller bridge, "G" cutout tailpiece, and rock maple neck. This stunner has all the features of the standard G6118 with the addition of a Bigsby B6C vibrato tailpiece.

Its bound laminated maple body has a metallic gold-finished back and sides, with a rare mid-’50s Gretsch color—Jaguar Tan—chosen for the arched top. Distinctive spruce “ML” bracing produces rich and open tone. The three-piece maple neck has a tapered heel and ebony fingerboard with mother-of-pearl Neo Classic™ thumbnail inlays; the black headstock has a commemorative chrome plate (“Anniversary 1883-2008”).
