Fender presents: the Greg Koch Classic…
Greg Koch has been called a "twisted guitar genius" and "eclectic virtuoso" by guitar pundits, and in his own words, he considers himself nothing short of a "plectrum-wielding skullduggarist". The towering Koch is moving beyond mere local hero status in the upper Midwest and becoming an internationally renowned guitarist. His work as a session ace, top-selling guitar instructional book and DVD star, magazine columnist, radio personality, comedian and in-demand worldwide guitar clinician for Fender Musical Instruments and Hal Leonard Publishing are all adding to an ever growing reputation as a knowledgeable and skilled artist in his field. Koch's fascination with the guitar started in the third grade when he made Fender Stratocaster® guitars out of cardboard and, using his sister’s sewing machine, made a makeshift wah-wah pedal. It was also the beginning of a long lasting obsession with the music of Jimi Hendrix. Soon after, at the age of 12, Koch finally got his first guitar an…

Fender releases '57 Bandmaster, Mustan…
Fender is proud to introduce seven new amplifier models, each designed with a different player in mind, yet all providing the legendary tones that have solidified Fender as the world’s leading amplifier company for more than 60 years. Fender '57 Bandmaster The late-'50s tweed-covered Fender Bandmaster guitar amplifier combined great looks with sweet tone and powerful performance. Hailed as one of the true holy-grail amps among guitarists and collectors, vintage examples are rare and highly sought after. The new '57 Bandmaster amp now joins our prestigious Custom series, with all-tube hand-wired circuitry and premium components. We've faithfully reproduced the classic 5E7 circuit, which pumps about 26 watts through three 10" alnico-magnet speakers, and we enlisted Jensen® to help create the P10R-F driver (a Fender exclusive), which is voiced for warm, sensitive response. The Bandmaster amp's harmonically rich clean tones are perfect for vintage rock, blues and country styles, and…

A major hit, it reached number four on the Billboard pop singles chart in the United States and propelled Machine Head into the top 10 worldwide. The song has appeared on countless “greatest” lists over the past 40 years, including Rolling Stone magazine’s “500 Greatest Songs of All Time,” VH1’s “40 Greatest Metal Songs” and Q magazine’s “100 Greatest Guitar Tracks.” Deep Purple…

Fender is proud to announce the Competition series pedals, a whole new line of effects pedals designed and built to provide inspirational tones in a reliable package at an astounding value. The Fender Distortion pedal drives tube or solid-state amps into thick distortion and singing sustain, evoking the edgy hard-rock tones of the ’70s and ’80s. Great with many different amplifiers, it’s responsive enough that a guitar’s volume control can be adjusted to the exact amount of distortion desired, from aggressive crunch to full-on saturation. It can be used to create a distorted tone or as a boost for higher-gain rhythm and solo tones. The Fender Drive pedal creates a warm overdrive reminiscent of classic ’60s and ’70s rock and blues tones. It can be used to push tube or solid-state amps, creating harmonically rich crunch and sustain. Fender introduces the 50th Anniversary…
Fender is proud to celebrate five colorful decades of the Jaguar guitar by introducing the 50th Anniversary Jaguar model. The instrument takes players back to 1962, when Fender introduced an unusual new guitar that paired a sleekly modified Jazzmaster body style and elaborate control layout with a shorter scale and smaller, brighter pickups with more output. The resulting Jaguar was the fourth and last of Fender's original lineup of standard electric guitars. Perfectly matched to the early-'60s renaissance in design modernism (as exemplified by everything of the era from autos to aircraft to sunglasses to furniture), the Jaguar gradually acquired a fascinating pedigree quite unlike that of any other Fender guitar. A chromed-out, surf-rock staple of the 1960s, it found new life from the mid-1970s-on as a subversively offbeat alternative axe wielded by punk, post-punk, grunge and alt-indie guitar heroes and anti-heroes alike. The same guitar that originally crested waves of r…
