The Hudson's wooden body is nicely finished in sunburst and its comfortable shape can be played in a variety of positions to suit the individual player. It can be played acoustically and plugged into an amplifier for live performances or recording making this a very versatile instrument. There has been a recent resurgence of popularity of the autoharp. Push button chord bars and easy single stroke playing allows you to accompany a singer or other instruments with ease. There is a sound hole, just like a guitars, and it is conveniently fitted with rubber feet on the back as well as two strap buttons. The Hudson autoharp also allows the player to connect directly into an amplifier with a standard jack lead. It is also equipped with tone and volume controls. It come complete with a deluxe padded carry case with handle, shoulder straps and accessory pocket.
