Fakt ist das der AC30 und dessen einzigartiger Klang natürlich untrennbar mit der Marke VOX verbunden sind. Wieviel Vintage braucht ein AC30 und wie viel „Moderne“ dürfen wir ihm verpassen? Diese Fragen hat die überaus erfolgreiche Custom Classic Baureihe ja bereits in den vergangenen Jahren mit eindrucksvollen Verkaufserfolgen beantwortet. Mit der flammneuen AC Custom Serie gehen wir ein Stück in der VOX Historie zurück und gleichzeitig einen großen Schritt voran. Chefdesigner Dave Clarke und das VOX R&D Team in England haben der lebenden Legende eine mutige Frischzellenkur verpasst, ohne die geliebten Attribute über Bord zu werfen. Neben der Vintage mäßigen 4 Eingänge Konfiguration (Normal/Top Boost in High/Low Varianten beim 30er, 2 Eingänge: Normal/Top Boost beim 15er) und den auf das Wesentliche getrimmten Ausstattungsmerkmalen, konzentrieren sich die neuen AC-s auf Ihre wahre Stärke = AC Ton in all seinen geliebten Facetten. Nochmals feiner abgestimmt und expressiver auf das individuelle Spiel reagierend. Im Klartext: Hier perlt der Clean noch prickelnder, da cruncht der „Jingle-Jangle“ noch cremiger und dort rotzt der Overdrive noch sahniger. Auf der Lautsprecher Seite kommt ein „alter Bekannter“ wieder zum Zuge. VOX AC Fans weltweit wird es sicherlich mehr als freuen, dass der Original Celestion G12M, auch besser bekannt als „Greenback“, Speaker, die oben beschriebenen Sounds perfekt überträgt. Unumstößlich auch, dass es den 2x12“er Combo alternativ mit Original Celestion Blue AlNiCo Lautsprechern gibt. Das mittlerweile essentielle Features wie die (PPIV=Post Phase Inverter) Mastervolumen Schaltung, die stufenlos einstellbaren Hall und Tremolo Effekte, sowie beim AC30 der Effektweg, mit an Bord sind, versteht sich dabei fast von selbst. Und der „Look“? Nichts ist so sexy wie das zeitlose, bereits 1958 eingeführte AC Design mit optimiertem Brown Diamond Grill Cloth, schwarzem Basket Weave Vinyl, jetzt schneeweißem Piping, schwarzen Pointer Style Knobs und dem roten Top Panel. It allows 4 signals at the same time and is fully equipped to work as an orchestersystem for small and medium sized venues especially in combination with the active extensions AS 281. To maintain almost the same sound quality we decided to multiply the soundsystems rather than using standard con! gurations like 12“ and tweeter for higher volumes. Thus the Domino is equipped with two 8“ twin cone speakers and two combined 60 watt amps working as a 100 watt power unit.
