The HAL-1VS is part of Hudsons acclaimed Lightning Tree Guitar Series and yet again offers a series of features unique to this guitar and its price range. The HAL-1VS is a Sandpiper Shape Auditorium Body Acoustic model, it features a Solid Sitka Spruce Top, Laminate Mahogany back and sides and a Mahogany neck with Sonokelin fretboard. Finishing and components on this guitar are also second to none. The HAL-1VS is finished in a stunning Vintage Sunburst with Cream Binding and Dual Cream Pinstripe on the top of the guitar. Pearl Inlays on the Fretboard, Ivory with Dot Bridgepins and factory fitted Elixir strings all add to this impressive spec. The Auditorium body shape is designed to offer both balance and presence of tone that most manufactures fail to achieve.  Taylor Cocobolo Grand Audit… One of the heaviest, densest rosewoods around, Mexican cocobolo yields a bright, articulate voice. For this cocobolo/Sitka spruce offering, cocobolo was also incorporated visually into the inlays on the front of the guitars. A band of cocobolo trim traces the top, while the rosette motif features cocobolo as an S-curve that contrasts with buttery boxwood, a slow-growing wood with a density comparable to ebony. Boxwood was also used for a new Split Diamond fretboard inlay, which visually references the rosette's S-curve. Other wood-rich appointments include a cocobolo backstrap and figured maple binding. Tonally, cocobolo's density translates into a beautifully clear, bell-like tone, with a piano-like quality to the low notes. Case included.
