Rock Palace is een online gitaarwinkel, maar ook een ècht winkel in het centrum van Den Haag. In 1985 is Rock Palace geopend door drummer Cesar Zuiderwijk en bassist Rinus Gerritsen van de bekende Haagse band Golden Earring. Zij wilden met de nieuwe gitaarwinkel een ontmoetingsplek creëren voor muzikanten. Er zijn de afgelopen jaren veel online gitaarwinkels in Nederland bijgekomen. Veel van deze winkels zijn inmiddels ook weer verdwenen. Rock Palace is tot op de dag van vandaag nog steeds het epicentrum voor gitaristen in Nederland. Vele nationaal en internationaal bekende gitaristen, bands en artiesten komen graag bij ons over de vloer. Zij kiezen bewust voor onze vakkennis en de uitmuntende service die wij bieden. Rock Palace sponsort Rock Nation bij R…
Edwin Jansen, ontdekker van onder andere Kane, DI-RECT en Anouk, en zijn raadsman Dennis Weening (bekend van MTV en 3FM) gaan op zoek naar talentvolle muzikanten om een super rockband te formeren. Rock Palace zorgt voor een injectie rock 'n roll en levert alle instrumenten voor deze nieuwe talentenjacht. Vanaf zondag 7 september volgt RTL 5 acht weken lang het rauwe, realistische proces dat getalenteerde rockmuzikanten moeten doorlopen op weg naar een carrière in de muziek. Tijdens een uitgebreide selectieprocedure overvallen Edwin en Dennis de kandidaten die zich hebben aangemeld met een bezoek op locatie, om hen te testen op hun individuele kwaliteiten. Uiteindelijk maken zij per discipline (gitaar, bas, toetsen, drums en zang) een keus en blijven er twintig muzikanten over die kans maken op een plaats in de nieuwe rockband van Nederland. Washburn WD32SCE groepswinnaar
Het Engelse vakblad Total Guitar testte onlangs verschillende semi-akoestische gitaren onder de 400 euro. De WD32SCE van Washburn kwam als beste uit de test! De WD32SCE werd vergeleken met de Yamaha APX500, Adam Black S-5CE en Vintage VEC380N. De naam WD32SCE staat voor Washburn Dreadnought 32 Solid Cutaway Electric...ofwel een Western gitaar met een massief bovenblad in cutaway uitvoering met ingebouwde elektronica. Washburn bestaat in 2008 maar liefst 125 jaar. Het bedrijf uit Chicago heeft dus enorm veel ervaring in het bouwen van goede akoestische gitaren. Dat zie je ook terug bij de WD32SCE! Volgens het blad Total Guitar is deze gitaar een ware all-rounder. Hij scoort goed op vele fronten, waaronder de volle warme toon en het voor Washburn typische slanke halsprofiel.
