John Petrucci of Dream Theater is a long-time user of our guitar effects. Now we are ready take tour collaboration to a whole new level. John was one of the first artists to join our revolutionary TonePrint concept. In total, John created 5 personal TonePrints in early 2011 – two for Corona Chorus, two for Shaker Vibrato and one for Vortex Flanger. John loved having access to all effect parameter so much that he instantly agreed to develop a signature pedal – one that was based on his own TonePrints. And so The Dreamscape was born. With The Dreamscape, you even get a TonePrint setting that allows you to upload or beam other TonePrints to the pedal. In short, for all you John Petrucci and Dream Theater fans out there, this pedal is a must-have, but even if you’re not, The Dreamscape is a brilliant way of getting three top-notch modulation effects in a compact pedal that will only take up a minimum of real estate on your pedal boards.
Inspired by Dave Matthews’ 914ce, the DMSM is an Indian rosewood/Sitka spruce Grand Auditorium. A custom fretboard inlay blends elements of the popular “Cindy” inlay, which graces Matthews’ 914ce, with a design that pays tribute to the band’s longtime sax player, LeRoi Moore, who passed away in 2008. Based on a sketch that Matthews provided, a crown inlay between the 11th and 12th frets honors Moore, incorporating ball-tipped points with one ball partially missing in his memory. A nickname of Moore’s within the band, “Grux,” is inlaid between the 13th and 18th frets. The headstock inlay also was developed from a sketch by Matthews. The guitar top was shaded with an aged toner to approximate the patina Matthews has on his older 914ce. Each DMSM comes with a custom guitar label and a certificate of authenticity, both personally signed by Matthews. Case included.
Inspired by Steven’s 714, the Steven Curtis Chapman Signature Model (SCCSM) features Indian rosewood back and sides, a tobacco sunburst cedar top, and Indian rosewood binding. The inlay design is a recreation of a drawing that Chapman’s daughter Maria made. The headstock inlay is a flower with a single petal colored in blue, while the fretboard design features a mother-of-pearl butterfly in at the 12th fret, accompanied by the word “SEE” in Maria’s handwriting. Pearl fret marker dots are aligned along the bass side. Other features include an abalone rosette, abalone-dotted bridge pins, and Taylor Expression System electronics. Each SCCSM comes with a custom guitar label and a certificate of authenticity personally signed by Chapman. Case included.
When you think about Eric Johnson, you think tone, and the tone he's best known for is his sweet, singing, lead tone. His choice for getting that tone has always been the Fuzz Face. EJ worked closely with Fuzz Face guru Jeorge Tripps to create his signature pedal. It is inspired by EJ’s prized personal Fuzz Faces and is built to his incredibly strict specifications, featuring hand-selected BC183 silicon transistors (for higher gain), custom repro ’68-’69 knobs, and a vintage-style hammertone finish. The result: a beautifully dynamic, expressive, and powerful pedal. “I first heard the Fuzz Face when I was about 12 and loved playing through it,” he says. “It’s the classic tone used by Jimi Hendrix, one of my greatest influences. No other pedal gets this type of sound. It’s the pinnacle of psychedelic fuzz.”
