 Taylor DMSM Dave Matthews Inspired by Dave Matthews’ 914ce, the DMSM is an Indian rosewood/Sitka spruce Grand Auditorium. A custom fretboard inlay blends elements of the popular “Cindy” inlay, which graces Matthews’ 914ce, with a design that pays tribute to the band’s longtime sax player, LeRoi Moore, who passed away in 2008. Based on a sketch that Matthews provided, a crown inlay between the 11th and 12th frets honors Moore, incorporating ball-tipped points with one ball partially missing in his memory. A nickname of Moore’s within the band, “Grux,” is inlaid between the 13th and 18th frets. The headstock inlay also was developed from a sketch by Matthews. The guitar top was shaded with an aged toner to approximate the patina Matthews has on his older 914ce. Each DMSM comes with a custom guitar label and a certificate of authenticity, both personally signed by Matthews. Case included.

 Gibson Les Paul Standard 19… While any 1958-’60 Les Paul Standard is a rare and desirable guitar today, those played by major artists are even more highly prized. Given its history, the 1959 Les Paul Standard formerly owned by Thin Lizzy guitarist Gary Moore—and represented in every minutiae by the Collector’s Choice #1: 1959 Les Paul Standard—is, for many players and collectors, the Holy Grail of Les Pauls. Not only is it a stunning original example with a highly figured top and a beautiful, faded “unburst” finish, it’s a guitar with a fascinating configuration, with the wiring and orientation of the neck pickup reversed to create a unique “out of phase” middle position tone. Moore purchased the guitar in the mid-’70s and played it on recordings with Thin Lizzy, including “Still in Love with You” and “Waiting for an Alibi,” and afterward, as a solo artist, before retiring the ’59 Les Paul and eventually selling it to British-born guitar collector Melvyn Franks in 2006.

Lieve Shred-fans in Nederland, Rock Palace heeft in samenwerking met MusicStation de meester weten te strikken voor een unieke gitaarclinic in Den Haag! Joe Stump wordt vaak vergeleken met gitaargigant Yngwie Malmsteen - een van zijn grote helden - maar het is duidelijk hoorbaar dat hij ook beïnvloed is door gitaristen als Ritchie Blackmore en Gary Moore. Zijn muziekstijl varieert van neoklassieke speed metal, hard rock, power metal tot aan bluesrock. Joe is absoluut een autoriteit te noemen op het gebied van de zogenaamde shred-gitaar en hij is een van de weinige muzikanten van wie je kunt zeggen dat je op zijn instrumentale albums de zang totaal niet mist, enkel en alleen omdat zijn gitaarspel dit overbodig maakt. Joe Stump is de Speed Metal specialist/gitaar virtuoos op de Berklee College of Music in Boston (één van beste muziek instituten van de wereld).
