The sE2200a II is a multi-pattern mic that uses a hand-crafted, 1-inch gold sputtered diaphragm that's based on the original sE2200a capsule. However, this 'back-to-black' version which allows for multiple polar patterns (Cardioid, Figure of 8, Omni). The multi-pattern implementation comes in response to user requests, and it's also worth noting that the sE2200a II comes in a new custom black rubber paint finish, which is both stylish and practical, helping to damp chassis resonance which many competitor microphones suffer from. At launch, the sE2200a II Multi-Pattern will ship with a free brand new, stylish black rubberised shock mount (matching the sE2200a MK2 microphone finish) and a free black sE Metal Pop which mounts conveniently on the shock mount, or can be removed for convenient instrument mic'ing.
Unique HDAP (High Definition Audio Performance) technology ensures the best possible, most realistic sound at any time. The SR 40 Mini2 receiver provides three status LEDs each for channels 1 and 2, indicating ON/OFF status, received signal strength (RF OK), and audio clipping (AF CLIP). The VOLUME control sets the level at the ¼" output jack. Each receiver comes with a universal 12-V switched mode power supply with EU, UK, and US adapters. The illuminated ON/OFF button switches both channels on and off simultaneously. The PT 40 Mini bodypack is probably the smallest and lightest transmitter in its class. A reliable mini XLR input allows you to connect every compatible AKG miniature microphone. The rugged HT 40 Mini handheld transmitter features an ON/OFF/MUTE switch and a sturdy wire-mesh cap protecting the cardioid dynamic microphone element. Battery life is the same legendary 30 hours off a single AA battery as for the standard WMS 40 models, reducing the need to replace batteries and thus saving real money in the long run. The system includes an SR 40 MINI2 receiver, one PT 40 MINI bodypack transmitter, an MKG L instrument cable, one HT 40 MINI handheld transmitter, a universal power supply with US/UK/EU adapters, and 2 AA size dry batteries.
TASCAM's iM2 turns the iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch into a high-quality stereo recorder. A pair of condenser microphones - the same high quality as TASCAM's best-selling DR-series recorders - plugs into the dock connector of your Apple device. The microphones are adjustable over 180 degrees for the best sound placement. The uni-directional elements are arranged in an AB pattern for detailed stereo imaging while capturing the ambience of your room. The iM2 contains its own microphone preamp and analog-to-digital converter for low noise and great audio quality. Unlike mics that use the built-in iPhone preamp, the iM2 can handle up to 125dB sound levels to capture the loudest concerts and instruments without distortion.
Another microphone from the "workhorse stable", the M 201 TG preserves its place in history through sheer performance and reliability and we are proud that it has come to feature here with the classics. A truly sensitive dynamic microphone with a range of applications spanning instruments to vocals, being particularly effective when the microphone has to be placed at a distance from the sound source. It incorporates a "hum-buck" coil that rejects mains borne interference introduced when using the microphone close to video monitors or other mains powered devices.
