De meeste moderne digitale Delay's hebben een tap-delay functie, maar veel daarvan vertalen het aangegeven tempo niet goed in delaytijd. Nieuwe DJ controllers van Pioneer
Pioneer kondigt de volgende nieuwe producten aan : Pioneer DDJ-T1 en DDJ-S1. 2 controllers voor gebruik met DJ mixsoftware op de computer, inclusief hoogwaardige ingebouwde geluidskaarten en een dubbele Master uitgang (op RCA en gebalanceerd). De bijbehorende software wordt door Pioneer meegeleverd.
Beide controllers zijn ontwikkeld om zoveel mogelijk van de software-functie te intergreren in een hardware product. De DDJ-T1 doet dit voor TRAKTOR (van Native Instruments) en de DDJ-S1 is een controller gemaakt voor ITCH van Serato/Rane. Na installatie van de software hoef je de controller alleen maar via USB aan te sluiten, en je kunt ermee aan de slag.
De controllers zijn erg handig voor gebruik met een laptop. Het toetsenbord van de laptop kan namelijk onder de controller schuiven, zodat alleen het scherm nog zichtbaar is.
